was very unhappy with 2020 software. had to spend a great deal of time with a very patient support person. could not efile my taxes. was not user friendly. will evaluate different methods next year.
Have been using H&R since 2008 and its been great and so easy to use very user friendly. I do my own taxes, the software finds all my deductions so easily don’t need any professional help.

I would not recommend it to anyone. Filling is easy but getting any support is a nightmare and non existent. I couldnt get my old tax returns from my account. Your website sucks. It says I can download my previous return but there is no download button..did you guys even test your own webpages if its working as expected ? its worst website ...any high school kid can build better
The program was sketchy on formatting the program pages on screen. Identical inputs got different results. Recalculation did not always recalculate. The program update did not permanently update the program; every time I go into the program I have to update. The biggest issue is that Customer Support could not tell me what one of the lines was on the page that calculates the refund you are requesting. This was a H&RB program page, not an IRS page and I was directed to talk to a tax pro or IRS....she was only technical. The other alternative was to completely re-enter all my data manually which is how I finally got what I hope is an accurate result. In my struggling through the program multiple times, I found that there was a glitch in the form 8915 entry: once I had indicated, "YES" I qualified, a residual $ value remained in the system even thought I went back and changed the entry to "NO". The only way to get rid of the residual (ERROR) was to go into the form 8915 and manually zero all entries AND delete the form.
No way that I am going to ever buy this program again - bad programming and inadequate support!
