I was disappointed to know that the tax expert review in the software is no longer available. This used to be a great feature. The features in the online version and the software application version should be same. State e-fileing price should be included in the price of the software.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Been a user since the late '80s (it was called something else then, before Block took it over) so that says a lot. I switched to Turbo Tax for one year just to give it a try, but came back to Block. I use the downloaded version, as opposed to online. Like to have control over my data. The program has slowly improved over the years and I like the user interface, which they have kept pretty consistent from year to year. Not having to get familiar with a new interface each year is great. There are still a few glitches, nothing too serious though. Also, the "Quick Tax Summary report" could be better, but this is fairly minor.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents

I would like a schedule that would show me how the tax was calculated. I use the tax on qualified dividends and capital gains to figure the tax . That calculation should be included in the list of forms. Thank you.
