I have used this software for 10 years. The questions it ask are similar if not the same as HR block Offices. Something to keep in Mind.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast
Cons: Hard to import documents

Having used H&R Block software for several years, I easily can recommend it. The software is user friendly. Just read and answer the questions. It tells you what is needed for each page and blank. You simply type in the answers from your W-2, 1099, or other forms showing your income, taxes paid, and/or interest received. If you are not sure of a particular section, there are help and instructions available. H&R Block stands behind the software and alerts you to possible issues that should be checked before filing your tax return. Short form or long form? H&R Block helps you figure it out. Try it! I struggled with this software this year.
First, I had trouble installing this software. I was able to install it on my wife's desktop, but it absolutely refused to install on my laptop.
Then I had issues with some tax situations, in particular there is one situation which I think is common enough that other people had it in this COVID year. However I had to overwrite the value entered into the report.
Overall, I think this software should be more mature in this day and age.

H&R Block Deluxe 2020 worked flawlessly for completing and e-filing my Federal return, but when time came to e-file the State return, no go. The software identified an entry from a field on a 1099-R that would not allow the State return to be filed electronically, even though the information entered in the software was exactly what was on the paper 1099-R. Eventually, customer service at H&R was able to diagnose and fix the problem over the phone. That's right, a live person...over the phone ! Both returns were accepted electronically in minutes, and refunds were on the way in a matter of days.
