I run the Deluxe/E-File/State program. It was user friendly. I have an issue with software updates. An update came out after I E-Filed my tax returns. The update did not explain what was updated in the program or if it affected the completed tax returns.
Pros: Easy to prepare

Does a good job with the federal return, state tax returns not so much. What they charge for additional states (I have to file in more than one) and to e-file a state return is ridiculous.

Gave this a try this year. Worked well enough but had several deficiencies as I see it.
The screen area was small and hard for me to see well. Poor color contrast many times.
Getting around from topic to topic was difficult. I often went in circles until I could figure out what instruction's meant.
There was too little space for single listing of my many charitable gifts, so I had to enter several on a single line, then add them for the total.
Too tedious.
Veery accurate when finished.

I have used this program for years and it is easy to use and walks you through how to handle things that can change from year to year. This year I had a schedule K situation that was new to me.
I am confident when I am finished that my returns for Fed. And state are correct.
