This rating is for those individuals who, like myself, live in Michigan and have retired under the federal CSRS. The state of Michigan software just does not work for those who otherwise meet requirements Michigan Pension Schedule Form 4884 Section D. Since I started using H&R Block tax software several years ago, I always have to backdoor corrections to this form to get the $15,000 pension subtraction that I am entitled. Those who do not know about this software error will end up paying $638 more tax than necessary! H&R Block software folks need to correct this.

Not Happy That CD not available, loaded on PC Laptop, Laptop died and had to purchase Mac version; previous years, CD had both versions of included on same CD.

I had used the H&R Deluxe software successfully for five years prior to the 2020 edition, but this year’s edition does not work on iMacs with older operating systems. It was a major problem that was not able to be resolved by the Apple technicians themselves. The package did not even contain a CD disc as it had in prior years. This kind of disregard in “upgrading” your software program is indefensible. I would not recommend H&R Block software to anyone again.
