Not happy with the fact that my estimated state taxes that I entered during the year along with the federal estimates did not show up in my state return. Since I needed to pay extra to electronically send my state return, I just went online and used the state fill in tax return form from the state website and mailed that in with the estimated taxes I correctly entered. I think I will look for another tax software program to use in the future.
I have used this software for a couple of years now and find it the best of those I have used. My taxes are simple, but it it fills out the forms without using a calculator and file easily electronically. The only problems I have had is sometimes in the review. For example several errors required correction for me to file because they were to elaborate on issues I did not need. For example I had answered I was filing state taxes for only one state. A form required that I fill in infomation for the portion of income to be assigned to each state. I could not file until this question was answered. There was a similar question on another form and no clear instructions on how to solve the problem. I finally solved it by deleting the form and was able to file.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
Frustrating that you have to pay to file taxes easily electronically. The extra fee for state filing is not clearly explained upfront (rather it seemed that the state filing was included in the software price).
