The software has a few problems. The address in the instructions for submitting the return to Iowa is wrong. The address is not recognized by USPS. The correct address is on the IA form. The is an unexplained subtraction of a deduction from the cash charitable contribution that is later added in the the deduction as a misc deduction. The review ask you to explain the Misc deduction but there is no basis for what the software did. That was for the IA return. I had to leave the explanation blank. The Federal return has an entry for COVID 19 stimulus payment called a credit but it actual increases the tax owned. If you do not enter any payment the tax owned actually decreases by $1000.
