Could not e-file federal. Continued rejections claiming AGI on file for 2019 did not agree with IRS. The AGI was right -- as per my records and no notices from IRS to change it. HR Block software just got tangled up so I had to mail return for refund. Not a good experience.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've used H&R Block tax preparation software for many years. It easily takes care of 90-95% of my needs. Where it falls down, however, it's very difficult to get support to help. This year, some of the numbers in the final 1040 form didn't add up to what we calculated manually. Getting an answer from HRB support to why was a frustrating experience and unsuccessful.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming

The software is fine but support was very poor and the "accountant" didn't have a clue. I needed to return to enter my IRS issued IP PIN and he argued there was no such thing and only the AGI PIN. I finally gave up and proceeded through every screen again to find this at the very end under the Taxes tab.

how to do taxes or not. This software asks you questions, you answer and then it prompts more questions. It is a no fail way to get it done! I have been using this software for 10+ years.
