Using HRBlock for years .My taxes are simple,W2's ,savings interest, college tuition, mortgage-that's all. HRBlock software makes it fast, easy, checking for mistakes and missed deductions. A few times tried main competitor's software, didn't find anything better with it but it was more expensive, on sale twice of what I would pay for HR(on sale, too).
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast

Works great but the warnings from the accuracy check need to be ignorable once reviewed. Having to click thru the review each time you navigate thru the return for any reason gets annoying.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents

Comprehensive coverage, navigation could be better

Very comprehensive in what it covers, but the navigation can be a bit clunky. If you have all the paperwork you need in advance, in the order in which the H&R Block software expects it, it will be very smooth. On the other hand, should you find a need at a later stage to go back and make an adjustment to a prior entry, getting to that point is fairly simple. However, when you're done, it doesn't take you back to where you were when you decided to go back. Rather, you have to re navigate through all the steps in between the points, being careful not to inadvertently change anything you entered in the interim in the various sections in between. That's the only thing in my view keeping it from the fifth star. I've been a longtime user and will continue to be as it is excellent at what it does, even if it is just not quite 100% on the navigation to make changes.
Pros: Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

For the most part the program guided us through our taxes. There was a glitch in the program, so we called tech support. Unfortunately, they did not know how to help us.
