I have been using H&R Block Deluxe software for 20 years. As my circumstances changed I found that all my needs were covered. I have never been audited by the government, so my software must help.
The navigation is very good, but not intuitive; it helps to know the software. An example, when doing the 1099R, you should not fill in the form, but instead check the "edit" next to the item and then the software will walk you through the various options (QCD, Rollover, etc.).

Been using this program for around 15 + years. Always simple and straightforward even with relatively complex tax situations. Even easier now that standard deductions have increased. Don't understand why so many pay others to do their taxes. Especially like how it carries info over from year to year and the ease of downloading and entering 1099R and Div info. One deficit is the lack of a means to calculate RMD's--critical for older retirees!
