This is our fourth or fifth year using the H&R Block software. Always works flawlessly. The five free e-files is perfect for our family. This year we had a bit of difficulty filing an amended return, but overall very pleased.

I have used H&R Block software, formerly Tax Cut, for over 25 years and feel that it is a dependable, well detailed tax software package that provides me with excellent tax advice and support. I could easily switch to another product but definitely look to continue using HRB software to manage my income tax process and filings.

Only handles state returns properly if you have a plain vanilla full year resident return. Does not handle allocation of various income categories properly between resident and non-resident. You have to manually override certain line items, and others you can't override. What's the point of paying for software if you are basically doing the return by hand?

Improve electronic submittal when the tax return is final. I had a hard time finally submitting my return, which was unusual, as I I’ve used HRB software for years. And worked for HRB for 30 years.
