I have used this software for several years in a row and have found it to be very easy to use, reliable and thorough. I especially enjoy the feature that transfers data from one year to the next without having to reenter it.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Very good tax program. It did all of the heavy lifting for 100+ option trades I did last year. However, I think that Section 1256 on form6781 could be automated, In my case anyway. It would have saved me a couple of hours translating gov. speak into English to find out that I had to enter 1 number from my broker provided form1099 section 1256 (Mark to Market trades) to form 6781. That said, overall, H&R Block software did an outstanding job. I recommend the program to others without reservation. I will certainly buy it again next year.

Good software. Have used this for a few years. This year I found parts of it harder to navigate. Took me a while to find how to add a new W-2 and a new 1099-G. Was more intuitive for me in the past.

Automatic downloads for most of my brokerage accounts is not possible. They only work with turbo tax. I have to enter data by hand.

Only exists because HR Block lobbies to prevent our tax code from making sense. My taxes should have been easy enough to file without needing to buy a dumb product like this. 0/10 I will probably have to buy it again next year.

The program was a download and not a hard cd. I was unable to process my MD state return with this program. The program kept referencing a tax update to the state program before proceeding then could not update the program, for an unknown (to me) reason. It was trapped in an endless loop. As a result, I needed to process my Maryland return by manually by hand.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
