My taxes were complicated this year. Retirement, moving from one state to another, starting Social Security, selling an buying a home. The Federal part of the taxes worked like a charm, the questionnaires led me through the experience. Then I got to the two state taxes, and each time I attempted to figure out a straight path through them I got a different answer-sometimes owing, sometimes getting a refund. Eventually by going to the state tax sites I was able to get questions answered or figure it out myself.

I've been using H&R Block Deluxe Tax Software for years and have never had a problem. It's step-by-step Q&A format makes tax filing a lot easier. In a few places, obscure tax code entries is lacking some explanation.

The test regarding receiving the Covid 19 from 2020 and receiving it in 2021 was very confusing, because if you look at the documentation where we printed out all of the supporting tables and questions, it was the opposite. I had to call someone because it was the opposite of what it should have been. Very confusing. You needed to fix that. It's the first time the full exhaustive worksheet contradicted the questions asked as we went along. One said that you received it in 2021 and the worksheet said 2020. Totally a different problem. I've never had you make a mistake like that. You need to get your game on in this case. Totally opposite.
