Easy to use. Guides the user step-by-step. There are a few places that could be stream-lined but they are probably not universal. I've been a HRB user for about 12 years.
I had to file an amended return this year because I filed my return a full week after the stimulus bill that was signed on 3/11/21 and this software had not been updated to include the $10,200 unemployment compensation exclusion nor was there anything to stop me from efiling if I had unemployment comp on my return. Now I have to wait I don't know how long until I get my full refund from the IRS, IF I even get it. It's going to be mailed and I have no confidence the USPS will successfully deliver it because the USPS is as terrible as this software. I also have to figure out how to get a refund because I was charged for 5 state efiles when I efiled 4 state returns.
I purchased the Premium Business and Personal with State edition but I was sent the incorrect link and had to wait online 2 hours on 2 occasions to get the correct forms.
You need to have Chase Bank as an option to download our financial statements. Chase is one of the largest banks. I will probably switch to turbo tax next year. They allow Chase statements to be downloaded automatically. I always have to enter the interest and dividends by hand.
I really like the software. This is my sixth year using it. I wish they would explain the questions in more detail. If you answer a question wrong it will take you in the wrong direction.
