I have used the Block software for my taxes for 6 years. I used TurboTax before that and had no problem with it, but I have stayed with Block (and will continue to do so) because it is VERY user friendly, reasonably priced (in my opinion), and seems to do a thorough and complete job with my taxes.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast

Pretty easy to use. However I changed my mind about filing state on paper, and started the e-file process, but then the software gave me a blank window and froze. Restarted, decided to stay away from e-file, and was able to print paper return documents.
Pros: Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

I have been using H&R Block Deluxe + State for 20 plus years. It has never failed me. It has an easy to use interface. Just input your numbers as you go through the tax return interview and your done. It is definitely the way to go. I typically get my refund direct deposited in 2 weeks. After using it the first time, it gets even easier by importing the previous years data which cuts down on your input. If you have all your paperwork when you sit down, you can be done in about 1 hour. Highly recommend!
