I've used HR Block for at least 10 years and it is extremely easy to use. This year was no different even though there were repeated tax law changes well into the filing period.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast

Easy to use and walks you through your return. I think this product is easier than the online product to use unless you have the simplest of returns. Plus you can keep your tax return file on your computer rather than the cloud.

1st of all, when you need help it just send you to FAQ questions then when you answer a question yes, it's like it doesn't take it and gives you the wrong response. Plus whenever I upgrade it blows my return out and I have to start over!!!! Ugh

Block needs to fix the SSL issue when downloading the software and when submitting returns. Other tax software does not have this problem, so it is Block specific.
Also, some calculations are down in the background, such as taxable portion of SS, and no worksheet is available so the calculations can be reviewed.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
