I thought this was better than taking it in and paying an agent to do it. I like how it gives you help with anything right then and there. My only problem was the worksheets being a little difficult to navigate but it coulda just been the user. Over all compared to last yrs return I saved money and I’m happy. Lastly you do have to pay to file your state which is what the Groupon came with but the good part is that it allows you to download the software for free.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents
I would recommend this to a friend!

Confusing Royalties application

Rents and royalties doubled line 2 amount and could not be revised. I have had to refile an amended 1040. Very poor functionality.

Would not Efile the state.

I did the federal and the state. I was ready to do the Efile. The program said I needed to fill in block 16 on my 1099 form. Same for my wife. It was already filled in. The program said the state return was fine but it still would not Efile. I had to mail in the state return. I called the Block help line and there was an hour wait. I worked in the Block tax office for several years. I don't think it was me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am a retired Department of Treasury Area Director, I recommend this software over any other vendor.

H&R Block Deluxe 2020

I have used the software for many years and I have always been pleased. I was really disappointed this year when the software allowed me to e-file a week before the IRS is accepting returns. I should have researched the date (I thought it was February 5, 2021); but, the software should not have allowed me to file prior to February 12, 2021. I am interested to learn what will happen to my submittal.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this in the last week and have used it for the last three years.
The only question that came up was for the Second Stimulus for 2020.
It seemed to tell me to leave the box blank since we received it in January. When we did the
accuracy review, it popped up as something to be fixed. A bit confusing to my mind.
