Good solid software.

The software is full featured, but not overloaded with extras, e.g. extra state programs. It is quite reasonably priced and intruitive to use.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast
Cons: Hard to import documents
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have been using H&R Tax software for many years with a 5 of 5 rating. Excellent. But this year the software gave me an erroneous 2018 Adjusted Gross Income error even though the amount in the error box was correct. I tried to get hold of support but was unable. I had to ignore the error and complete my taxes. I am hoping I won't be audited.
Pros: Easy to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It's OK, a cheaper way to do your taxes. The program helps really don't do a good job of explaining many things, and you will have to go to the internet, and IRS website to obtain the lacking information.But it does its job and I would probably use it again.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming

i've been using hr block for years and it just gets better and better. i particularly like deduction pro -- very handy. initially, when i first decided to do my own taxes, there were two major products -- turbo tax and block. did i want my taxes done by a software company or a tax company using software. hmmm. yup, logic won the day. i've been using it for years. .it's so clear and easy to use. i've recommended it to a number of people, and if they try it, they stay with it. and thank me again after every tax filing. try it, you'll like it.
