The federal part of this program was very good. Terms were defined and explanations were provided, both simply enough that I thought I understood. In comparison, the state forms I did had very little in the way of support. "Learn more" was generally a brief sentence that did not adequately explain the topic. In one case, the CT software said the Schedule 2 *worksheet* was not included, which led me to believe I needed to find it and complete it outside the program. I am still not sure if that was the case, but I later discovered Schedule 2 *is* in the software. I still don't understand how the data was calculated, which make me wary. Integration of state and federal and state to state information is sorely lacking.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

I work in the state of Kansas and live in Missouri and when I fill out the Form MO-CR using your software, it gets confusing and I get stuck on it year after year. Form MO-CR Box 3 Wages and Commissions should have a help button to use Box 16 info from the W-2 (which appears to be KS AGI amount too). When you do this only once a year, you tend to forget what numbers to use, because that part of your software doesn't help for Form MO-CR (Missouri form for Credit for income taxes paid to other states or political subdivisions).
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Hard to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!

FED and STATE electronic filing not as intuitive

I have used HR Block Premium for years and really like it overall. However, this year when I was ready to file - the instructions may have changed slightly and I didn't realize it. I clicked to file electronically like I always do for FED as well as STATE. For some reason, the sequence I clicked through filed FED only. When I realized this happened - I then read that I couldn't file STATE electronically separately - so for the first time in years I had to print and mail my state return. I have not retraced my steps to see if instructions had slightly changed OR if I just missed it altogether in the filing process. Anyone else have this problem this year? I would love a response. Thanks!
Intuitive. Easy to follow. If one types in correct numbers, no mathematical errors in adding, etc. Typing on keyboard means 100% legibility over hand-entered writing. Accuracy checks at end to see all forms are completed. All forms needed are included in the program.. Easy to save copy to PDF file on computer. Easy to print out a physical copy on paper for record maintenance as backup of computer files. E-filing is so quick and easy. Takes less than 10 minutes at end. Receive confirmations from federal and state governments that returns have been successfully transmitted. Fed came within less than 1/2 hour. State took less than 12 hours. No getting large mailing envelope, assembling this form or that, driving to the Post Office to get proper postage for weight, no hand signing of papers.
I tried it-it wasn't the worst but I won't be back

multiple times where the language and/or the prompting format wasn't clear, and it took a few rounds with my financial planner to figure it out. also I didn't expect to have zero ability to contact customer service if I had issues. that along means I will not be back.
