Best feature is the incorporation of previous year's data and carry overs. Also I had a complicated situation this year were I sold a house and moved so I had two State returns as well as the capital gains worksheet from the house. The system stepped me through it very easily.
For the vast majority of users, this product is very good, clear, and as concise as any tax-program can be. I would rate it as an outstanding product. However, If you are retired, receiving Required minimum distributions (RMD), and take advantage of Qualified charitable distributions (QCDs), the current product (and associated help and support) is subpar, awkward, and obscure. I struggled with it for hours before I stumbled upon the way to get the program to do what I needed. SUMMARY. If you are not getting QCDs, this is a very good product. If you are part of the small fraction of those who do get QCDs, just hope that H&R promptly improves their instructions and helps in this area.
I found an error in my NY state filing... the program would not let me FILE my taxes until an "error" was fixed. The "error" notification referred me to a Form that had nothing to do with the actual ERROR itself. I had to McGiver the error to get past it so I could file.
