Disappointing - doesn't work for multiple states

Very disappointing. I have to file two state returns and it is a nightmare, the program is failing. Nothing complicated about my situation. An hour on the phone with the help desk did not resolve the issue - not good.
Pros: Fast
Cons: Hard to prepare

easy to follow questions for each section. or you can go directly to the forms and fill them in. excellent double check process to make sure you filled in all the needed items. Really like the accuracy check at the end to eliminate any errors in input.
Easily imported income, investment and 1099 information. A great time saver and improves accuracy.
Will be using next year. Also don't forget the HR guarantee to help you with an audit if it happens.

Takes ages to get through the interview. Filling out a 1040 manually is actually much faster. The only reason I use this software at all is that I sometimes have complicated circumstances like self employment. The interview could be much more streamlined. Don't ask me about my property taxes 2 or more times, for instance. There's a lot of duplication in the interview.

I never realized it before, but I cannot find anywhere how my taxes were calculated. I check myself for errors regularly, but if I don't know how the package calculated my taxes, how can I double check that calculation?

Mediocre UI for federal return. H&R product did not support DE non-resident filing but did not provide this info until after I purchased the state return. Will be disputing this charge with my credit card company.
