Paid the extra to get state filing, but the electronic transfer failed because of some stupid PDF995 error. Why are you trying to install that junk on my pc?
Instructions were clear and easy to follow. Thanks for making tax time a little less painful and crazed!
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've tried other "free" or cheap options. If you've got no extras, maybe they're ok, but this covers much more than the basics. It's been my go to for years
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast
Cons: Time consuming

Didn't quite work for me.

I had stock sales that didn't have all the information required. Mainly original purchase date and cost basis. I wasn't able to get help because Covid-19 kept me quarentened. I doubt the info I entered was correct but i had to pay taxes on the sale so I paid it.
I have used H&R Block tax software for years, and I have never had any problems either with the software or my tax returns. I don't plan to use any other program in the future. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast

IRA Conversions not clear first time
on July 12, 2020

Doing a Traditional IRA to Roth Conversion the first time means you need to know that a form 1099-R is used for that. The software asks you about "Retirement Income" but it is not at all clear it includes conversions! It does ask if you have any form 1099-R but it would be better to make it clear this is the portion of the interview to manage conversions!
