Increasing untrustworthy with each passing year for retired seniors. Does not prepare individuals who use this software along the way for the transition to retirement taxes and record keeping requirements. Inaccurate accuracy checks, leading to undecipherable rejections of federal and/or state returns. No knowledgeable (or truly free) support.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have been using H&R Block tax software for nearly 15 years and I always find it easy to use and very helpful in preparing and submitting my taxes. I wish the itemized deductions tool was a little easier to use (perhaps a search function) and easier to add items that are not in the tables, with perhaps a link to eb ay or something to get an approximate price.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents

Have used this product for several years and have been well satisfied. This year I had a sale of stock from a Dividend reinvestment program. After calculating basis it was difficult to enter the data. H R should allow access to forms for manual entry. Spent a couple of hours navigating this section. However, the program is still a better alternative than paying someone to perform this work. I will more than likely buy it again. I would like to point out in the words of Will Rogers "it's a good thing we don't get all the government we pay for" .
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
