Incomplete drop down menus, no weekend support

The selections in the drop down menus are incomplete and I cannot submit my taxes without a required code that is not in the menu. As the tax deadline approaches, there should be weekend support to address this issue.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Better than 2018 edition.

The 2019 edition was much improved over prior editions. However, the review at the completion of the return advised that all errors had to be fixed or you couldn't e-file. But you had to mail the returns. In my case the errors were fixed except for one that effected the w-2G that I had no control over. I finally got to e-file the Fed but not the state . Also, I had to do the reports twice because the program deleted the first one before I got the chance to save the report. The other issue was naming the file. I spent 2 hrs trying to set-up a file the same as 2018.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

I've been using this tax software for a few years now since the other popular tax program had problems and dropped some forms. I have found H&R to be thorow and easy to use.It has a very nice flow to it and easy to go back on screens without always losing data or your place on it. very good program and I highly recommend it. You don't need to be a tax expert to use it. You do need you understand your tax situation and how taxes work to make to best of the software. Happy taxing!

The question about bit coin is tricky (easy to overlook). if you do not answer it, it messes everything up if you are submitting the forms online. HR Block never tells you what is wrong. You can have a panic attack until you figure it out for yourself! Other than that great software!

I've been using H&R Block tax preparation software for years and I'm very satisfied with it.
However, this year I do have a major complaint. When I went to use the H&R Block online payment web site, they asked for a lot of important information that would be disastrous if it fell into the wrong hands. The link in the program didn't work, so I had to type in the url manually. I think it would be very easy for a bad actor to create a lookalike web site with a nearly identical url that acted the same; it would be very difficult for the average user to know the difference. There is no good reason for the payment website to be asking for this information - there are many ways to accomplish the same thing without this severe security hole.
