It helps to have all your information already organized but once you've done that, the program walks and "talks" you through the equivalent of an interview process until you're through, in this case with both the federal and state forms. Having used this software for many years, it's always worked without a hitch.
Pros: Easy to prepare

High quality product, but a little pricey

I have used HR Block Tax Software for more than a decade. It has never let me down. I do believe they could do better on pricing, and will research other product next year. Unless a quality competitor's price is a lot less I'll likely stay with HR Block. BTW, multiple free state E-file is way over-due.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast

Still have not corrected the ability to do estimated tax payments with the software. I had to do my own calculations with the form. HRB has numerous glitches in doing estimated...I complained about this last year and still not fixed. Turbo Tax did this for us automatically. Otherwise the program is good. Please fix this.

THE STATE PROGRAM WOULD NOT UPDATE AND NOT ALLOW AN EFILE. CUSTOMER SUPPORT SAID ITS A MICROSOFT PROBLEM AND A PERSON ON CHAT SAID TO START A NEW RETURN AND ALL MY INFORMATION AGAIN AND ABRUBTLY DISCONNECTED. NONE OF THESE SOLVED THE ISSUE AND THIS COMPANY DOES NOT CARE! MY FEDERAL EFILE WORKED FINE.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare
