I've been using this software for over 20 years and used to really like it. It seems the last several years it has become unreasonably complicated to use....seems to encourage paying extra for professional help.

Import data mishandling

I used the software to directly import data from financial institute and prepared /e-filed my return. I discovered later that one piece of imported data was mishandled and an other was omitted. As a result, the printed copy of my submitted return show an amount I owe which is about 8 times larger than what IRS determined.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I trade stocks threw a very large broker called InteractiveBrokers. Your software does not support downloading of trades, and there are many.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast

First time user so next time will be easier. One problem with entering and displaying combined retirement and annuity incomes. I entered both the total and taxable distributions from each (which were the same amounts in each case). However on the final 1040-SR form only the taxable amounts would appear (line 4d) but I could not get the total distribution (line 4c) to display anything.
It seemed to work okay on the IRA distribution and the social security wages.
I spent a lot of time to try to correct but could not.

Will not allow free filing if you have a savings. Senior citizens need help. Then when I did use a disc that I paid for it was not being accepted by IRS. No matter what I checked and double checked it was always declined. Finally resorted to old school paper and mail.
