Have used Block tax software for years now and probably will again but ran into a problem filing the info i received on a 1099-S which is reporting the sale of a home(not my primary residence). There was no place in the interview and nothing in search to help. The software support team said the Deluxe Fed plus State did not address this . It should!
Pros: Maximizes refund, Fast

I found this a bit difficult to navigate and I could not find many of the deductions that I would normally take. I had to have the taxes redone by an accountant.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare

Glad you go the farm issues in detail. A lot easier than just filling out the blank form as in previous years.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast

Updated deleted my tax files

I had my taxes complete and decided to file them last night.
The software indicated there was a update to the Federal Tax software.
I started the updated, not sure what happen but application deleted my save tax file, even last year!!! I had to start from scratch and re-enter all my data!!!

Hard to Navigate

Have used HR Block software in the past, will not use again. It is extremely difficult to navigate within the program, you must close out the return to go to the actual worksheet and then close that to return to the form to make corrections. Extremely time consuming. Very difficult for the 2019 taxes because it refers you back to the 2018 worksheets which are useless in many cases because of the tax code changes for 2019. Had a very, very difficult time with the Schedule A Itemized deduction form because the 2018’s was very different. Searching the 2018 form referred you back to 2017.!!!!
