I followed your software to the letter to process both my federal and state returns for the past two years or more multiple times. Last year no problem. This year the state came back with a significant reduction in my return and the federal is still being processed which was submitted on March 9, 2020. This me concerns that there may a error with my return which again, I followed the program to the letter.
Pros: Easy to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I hate tax preparation. This software makes it much easier. It will pull in data from your previous year (assuming you used it last year of course) to further reduce data entry.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents

It was difficult to find where to e-file the state return. Several attempts led to nowhere or were misleading.

First time user of H&R but found it to be easier than expected. Hardest part was trying to find old documents for information. Certain areas did not clearly explained the task and samples helped but certain areas did not contain samples. Overall was easy to complete my taxes.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to prepare

It is a solid tax program, but the instructions could be clearer on some of the itemized deductions (1099-R withdrawals that are repaid are not declared in NJ, did not pick up my over payment of UI & FLI). Would still recommend but I'd encourage you to have someone look them over (someone cheaper than the second look program).
