I was not happy that I had to pay to file my state tax return. Last year both federal and state tax filing were free. Next year will go elsewhere to get both my federal and state taxes done free unless you offer both free again.
I have used this product for a while now. I'm comfortable using it . Even though I haven't used any other tax software products, I trust H&R block helps me to properly prepare the forms
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents

Great for Straight Forward Tax Returns

Had a straight forward year (no big out of state moves, no major financial changes), and completed everything on a Sunday morning. Still had to do a couple google searches for clarification, but complication is more about the tax code than the software. Ex: HSA deductions in California.
Generally capable and easy enough to use. But this past year I bought an electric car and bought and had installed a level-2 home charger and enjoyed rebates and credits, except for the charger installation. H&RBlock did not include Form 8911 to claim the charger installation tax credit, which had been extended for this tax year. Online forums recounted efforts to have HR Block support Form 8911 without success, claiming it was not an individual credit but a business credit. The other major tax program DID include this form for individual returns. So disappointed about this omission.
Works well. The state program need to be improved to handle K 1 data entry. It is confusing as our K 1 has two columns and the software is not clear on which to use nor which line to enter the data from and to.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

I have been using this software for the past three years. It is very easy to use. I highly recommend it!
The software was clunky. It didn't allow me to deduct miles as a business expense. When I tried to input the information in Schedule C, it didn't let me. It required me to go to a mileage worksheet. That form was in my name and not my wives, which it needed to be in. In the end, I never calculated business miles as an expense because the software wouldn't allow it. I wound up pay more in taxes and getting a smaller refund. To top thing off, my code didn't work to e-file federal taxes and I had to go to tech support twice. The first time it was closed due to limited hours. I then had to go back the next day.
