State software error

I found that H&R Block state tax software decided that my wife and I had died in 2019 as shown on our state form when I printed it out to mail in.
Not sure why the software does this, but I also notice it when using Turbo Tax in the past.

I've used this software to prepare my taxes for 20 years. I've never been audited. I've gotten my refund within 3 weeks. Easy to use the interview questions. Takes me a couple of hours to do mine with lots of foms for my wifes home business.

Good walk through questions that help fill in the forms. Import from some investments still has some data that needs editing. Could not do taxes any more without the software.

The program “randomly” asks for identification verification every year. You have to put all of your information from your driver’s license including issue date, etc in the program. But, apparently this is insufficient and you still have to call an H&R number, wait on the phone for forever, provide your entire social security number over the phone, and then answer ridiculous questions like who you know and which address have you previously lived at, etc to prove you are the individual filing. It is long, inappropriate, and frustrating! I won’t use H&R Block again in the future because this happens every year and I don’t believe asking for my full social security number over the phone is a safe business practice.
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Done what I needed it to do. Download stock/mutual fund transactions and incorporate them into my return - a biggie for me.
At times, e.g. at the beginning when trying to upload my last years TT return into HRB - not as clear to me as it could have been.
Worked really well and was able to finish and file my taxes in a short time.
