I really liked the program, easy to follow but saving the pdf file to be read without program really sucked. I already had Adobe Acrobat for pdf files but I had to down load yours. That shouldn't of happened. One other problem it wouldn't down load my 1099 misc from LPL FINANCIAL \ I tried to type in the info but it wouldn't except it.. These 2 problems I didn't have with Turbo Tax. Fix it for next tax season and I'll give H&R another try.
Been using H&R Block software for several years and this year it worked very well...the only problem was figuring out the electric car tax credit. Finally got it though.
Software was generally straight forward and easy to use. However, it does not adequately cover passive interest in a LLP K-1. Also, it was difficult to find the NY State credit for Long Term Care insurance.
I have been using this software since it was called Andrew Tobias' TaxCut running under DOS, so I have seen the progress. The biggest change lately has been to the schedule K-1 support, it is greatly improved! It only had one problem where it did not allow code AF for an item in box 20, but that was a minor inconvenience. It even addressed section 199A reporting to my surprise.
