It’s expensive to file - fed plus two states, especially when all three were simple for a single person. Don’t depend on getting help - you don’t find a phone number, and the chat line has hours of waiting time. If you don’t have a clue about tax forms, this will give you frustration. Eventually you get to the bottom line and are able to file.

I bought a Basic Tax disc which did not have rental property so I upgraded to Delux plus State. Downloading erased a lot of data I had to re-enter. . Enraged, I bought a new Delux plus State disc to finish the taxes. But the BAD tax data presentation form caused me to not include rental data. Your software is the worst. I will buy a different one next year.

It is a very good product for DIY taxes. My situation is not complex so this is perfect for me. If itemization was consistently helpful, I had many investments and/or a business, I would have a professional prepare my taxes. The interview and education resources are excellent. I've relied on this program for years. I just wish e-filing for my state was not as expensive.

My program either had glitches that prevented me from making changes to the errors and Data or it failed to give adequate instructions on how to make the corrections. It also failed to give an explanation as to why the input was potentially wrong or harmful.
