Good software, however the 2019 Deluxe software, would not update, and asks to repurchase it a 2nd time!!

I find that the software is very good for someone with a simple tax return. However, I found that it was not very user friendly or explanatory for someone with a slightly complicated return. It did not seem very helpful to me with respect to converting regular IRAs to ROTH IRAs. If I have to go to the IRS sight or pubs to get the answer to my questions, what good is the software.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Hard to prepare

It did the basic function for the fed and stat tax calculations. However, there were some glitches in the software particularly in the e-file step where is did not update the software successfully before filing. I had to do it manually which required a bit of skill. I also found the cost to pay by credit card to be excessively high.
