The software took almost an hour to get running, despite trying to install it on two difference computers and attempting to use both the mailed cd as well as the download from your site. I then had to waste time manually entering both joint and separate tax information, despite the fact that well written software should be able to take in two people's tax information once, and then provide the joint-file and separate-file results.
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is the second time I've used the H&R Block basic software, it's easy to install, and very user friendly. It's definitely worth the nomial price and I highly recommend it.

Good program, but I should have read the fine print. When it mentioned free e filing I assumed it was for both state and federal. Wish you would make it clear that only federal e filing is included.

Being a US expat living in Canada, it's hard to know how to exempt interest income, 401K and social security. Granted complicated issue, but would be nice to have more guidance, since I need to file the rest of my life both US and Canadian returns.

Very unimpressed. Have used TurbuTax in the past and will be again next year I’m fairly certain. TT is simply easier, clearer, explains things better and I feel has a superior update system. It might be a little cheaper initially but close at the end of the day.
