After using this last year for our 2018 return, it automatically put all our info in and just required some minor adjustments to income and charitable giving. Once that was done we were able to e-file both Federal and State returns, along with our state property tax refund in one smooth transaction. Very pleased with the process and the refunds!

H&R Block tax preparation software is, on the whole a valuable, time-saving tool that eliminates most of the horrid, clumsy cross-references required in the fed form 1040 and its appendages. The one fault I've found, 2 years in a row, is the HRB program cannot be relied upon to move all data from last year's HRB tax records - you must verify this occurs and fill in failures.

Cons: Hard to import documents

I had trouble with this year's tax software. I waited until 4/9/2020 to get the latest upgrades for both state and federal. I downloaded and installed and then ended up having to reenter EVERYTHING into all the forms. On the bright side, I ended up with a lower amount owed so I am praying nothing was missed the second time around. Did not eel as confident as in all the other years prior. Good but hope 2020 is a better package.

Cons: Time consuming

Only Difficult area was including on my mother-in-laws return the form 1099-LTC for which there was no questions for this. Had to look the right form up on the IRS website and then click forms on H&R return and manually enter into form. No shortcut or advise in question section.

Great application, very easy to use. It was my first time filing my taxes and I must say that it was so easy that it felt like a fun learning experience. My mother used the program too and said it was much easier to use then Turbo Tax. And she's be doing her taxes for ages. :-)
