H&R Block software is great, but when I tried to correct the issue with my investments that was pointed out to me by the accuracy check feature, but didn’t help exactly what I need to do. I would suggest if the system is simplified more for the average person who knows a little about taxes, and if also the system pinpoints the issue with clear suggestions to what line to go with options to resolve it. To me I didn’t know what exactly I had to do to correct the issue, the system kept taking me back to the same issue over and over , but I didn’t know how to and what to do. I have always used TurboTax and it was user friendly to average person like me. This time I decided to use H$R Block software which is not bad. Other than the two suggestions I mentioned earlier, it’s great software and I will use it again. Thank you for allowing me to express my opinion very honestly and very frank.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Hard to prepare

I have been using this software for several years and will continue to do so. The initial use took a while to enter all my data. Since then everything automatically populates year after year. The only thing I have to do is enter the figures for the new year.

Would love for the software to offer more interactive saving tips and also eliminate useless steps, for example if the tax filer is better off with standard deduction for the state, or based on prior year filing habits, don’t ask the person to fill out other itemized deductions items just to find out it’s a waste of time.
