I have used it several times in the past, mainly because of the price which has gradually increased. You must watch the features in the version you buy to make sure it has what you need. Filing your state return is an additional charge. It is fairly easy to use but has limited assistance should you have any questions. Even if it concludes stating there are no errors, check it yourself.

I love the program, but it lacks summary data while traveling through it. Places along the way where the program takes you into different entry sequences, the summation isn't available when back at the entry point, only the entry labels.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

bought over a month ago have my taxes done but keeps rejecting my efile as apparently my birthday is wrong which it isn't getting frustrated and can't reach ssn to see why there is and issue as there was no issue last year when I efiled using Turbo tax
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents

Horrible experience this year....software continually crashed, would not let me submit my NY non-resident efile (even after CA resident efile was accepted, which the software said to wait for). It also seems like there are an increasing number of forms where I have to enter in all the information (whole form) instead of the software simply pulling the data....Sorry, but I am switching next year.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It's easy to navigate, has a help button if you are unsure, it navigates you through the tax process. Does it give me maximum refund? I'm not sure but I'm pretty sure it would work out similarly.

Clunkiest version since 1998 when it was TaxCut. Can't delete a business from prior year. Had to delete 172 forms, one at a time. No way to delete all forms of type. Wasted a lot of time. I knew I wouldn't be able to itemize this time, yet there is no option to bypass asking the Schedule A questions. Really poor. Tried TurboTax about 18 years ago and didn't like it. Maybe next year I'll revisit it.

Cons: Time consuming

Ive been using this software for the last 10 years to do my annual taxes. Very easy to use and it imports data from my previous years taxes for me. It also efiles for you which makes it so very convenient.
