Very easy to install and use software. I have been buying the Deluxe package with 5 free Federal and 1 State e-filing. Works great for my family. Used H&R Block for e-filing about as long as e-filing has been available. Great support also, if needed.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
Cons: Time consuming

We switched to H&R Block several years ago when we had problems running Turbo Tax on our Mac. One feature that I would really like to see is I want to be able to click on a number and have the software show me where it comes from or how it was calculated.

Finished and tried to efile. It kept telling me I had to update before efiling, then it filed by itself. I guess it's okay. Also the $ number on what I owed, changed suddenly without explanation. Since it was lower, I wasn't too bothered, but wonder what $ number was actually correct. I guess the IRS will tell me or not eventually.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I prepare my tax return myself. The software makes filing my taxes very simple, even with a somewhat complex tax return, saving many hours over when I use to do it all by hand.

My favorite feature of this easy-to-use software is being able to import the previous year's data regarding employer, charity, and other info instead of having to type it all over again. This saves a lot of time and reduces the chance of typos (so many numbers--sigh).
