I like this software as it makes it easy to import your W-2', etc and even brokerage docs. It always does the trick, but some "data" items still always get hosed somehow, so not sure what's going on. Its also too bad that they dont have links to certain tax documents, or at least explain them. You have to pony up for more help if you need it.
Pros: Easy to import documents

California State program has errors

Estimated tax for the state of California was added TWICE to the total Stste tax withheld. It cause the state tax e-file to be rejected! I filed it manually. It took over 5 weeks to get processed! - BAD!!!
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've used this program for about 10 years now. It seems to get easier every year. In the past few years I've had no questions and was able to finish my taxes with no problems. I find gathering the data to enter takes the most time, and I'd have to gather that data no matter who or how my taxes are done.

Got email saying had 4 taxes to file. I filed my taxes on paper and have already paid federal and state taxes.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
