The program itself is really easy to follow and accomplish. The ONLY complaint I have: when downloading the program, alert the consumer they HAVE TO KEEP THE ASSIGNED CODE to use later when attempting to send to the IRS. That is one problem that could easily have been avoided.
Pros: Easy to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!

Indicated on W2 that the Address on W2 did not match my address but the W2 address was not picked up in the Filling
Easy to use, BUT: 1. It does not handle QCD's well. It does not capture a list of the charities and amounts and, as a result, I have been audited 2 years in a row challenging the QCD deduction. It was easily cleared up with the IRS by then sending the information that should have been included with the tax return. 2. Related to this, there was no way (at least that I could figure out) to attach an explanation sheet that could explain and provide evidence for what I was claiming.
Excellent except short on information for those of us rolling over an IRA that was in control of a pension plan. Not enough information on taxing for those of us taking control but aged over 70 1/2.
Since 1993 I've used H&R Block Deluxe software. Program easy to navigate. Provides accurate results.Filing federal return electronically is quick and hassle free I'd recommend Deluxe Software to all filers.

I have used this software for years and generally love it. I would have rated it higher but for 2 things. It does not support entering a K-1 from certain investments. Since the federal tax cut two years ago it has not been upgraded to address a major problem. If you enter a significant amount of itemized deductions in your federal return, somewhere in preparing your state return it ought to automatically compare filing with both itemized and standard deductions on the state return and tell which will give you the lowest total taxes. Although my itemized deductions are about the same as my standard deduction, if I use standard on the federal I must use it on the state and I wind up paying hundreds of dollars more in state taxes than I would if I itemized on both returns. The software lets me check that myself easily, but at a minimum it ought to advise me to do that, and better yet, do it automatically.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to import documents
I've use the Block software for many years. Naturally, it helps to keep using the same company's product since information transfers easily. Can't speak to other products on market but this one is OK.
