Block miscalculated my CT Social Security adjustment which would have cost me $ 170.
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

I completed my returns but it took extra research and I found a couple of places that the program did things I had not directed. I noticed one only because a flag came up at the end and asked for another bit of information, when I hadn't even directed use of the form.
Cons: Time consuming

I've used this software for years and am always finding it accurate and easy to use. I checked a friends return, prepared by her CPA and found an error he made in her return, saving her a couple hundred dollars

I worked for Block 18 years and now retired 12years and I've never used any other program.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

H&R Block 2019 Deluxe Tax Software Works for Me

I find the H&R Block Deluxe tax software very thorough and easy to use. Only issue I had this year is that my entire initial return was somehow "lost" or inadvertently deleted and had to be redone all over again. However, I probably did a better job the second time around as my files were better organized. Like many such programs, it is always "garbage in, garbage out".
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming
