I have used the H&R Block format for the past 4-years and have no complaints with the results. I have saved a lot of money by doing the taxes myself compared to bringing them to a CPA.

Had some issues loading the application from the web. I had to contact customer services for help. I had a small issue with completing taxes for submission which I also had to contact customer services to resolve. I have used H&R for years to prepare my taxes without issue. However I always purchased the disk version and never had an issue. I will be going back to the CD for future preparations !

this year the software was very confusing compared to past years, it did not take information from my old return this year as well as it had in previouse years.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

I used Turbo Tax in the past but have used H&R Block for the past 3 years which I think is much easier to use (not to mention, cheaper). My only complaint with any tax software is that it ask you questions that you think will increase your refund if you spend the hours gathering the information, only to find out it is for itemized deductions (which I already knew I didn't have more than the standard deduction).
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast
