I've been using H7R Block software for many years and find it complete and easy to use so long as you have your income and deduction records organized.

If I had not already been using and can import may data easily I may have switched... required several updates that delayed my filing and still did not have all the forms available on my State version so I was required to submit by mail. At least that will save me their filing fee.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My return is not all that complicated, and Block's software helps by leading me through the process, and it also saves me money on preparation fees. No complains from me!
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

I've used H&R Blocks tax software for many years, and this year there seems to be more bugs. I have several accounts at Schwab, and down loading them put all the transactions for all accounts into one account. I had to download them multiple times, change the account number each time and delete the duplicate transactions to get everything straightened out. Every time I tried to delete the duplicate accounts this created, the program would crash, though the duplicate account would be gone after restarting. The program crashed a couple of other times as well, though those weren't repeatable.

Consisent, dapandable and reliable

H & B Block insures consistency with previous years. Keeping track of my capital loss carryover is great. Importing broker data after starting the return is not simple until you find the correct link. Block helped with this problem. It is a great feature, and my return would be very time consuming with error possibilities without it.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
