Taxes are never fun or easy. With H&R Block the process was easy as it could be without using a Tax Paperer. Unfortunately, I owed $$ on my Fed, but the process was easy and quick to file and pay what I owed. And my State refund was sent to my bank account in less than 5 days after submission. I plan to use H&R Block Deluxe next year.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast

Scrutinize Your State Return for Contradictions

Would like to see comparisons of my tax return against sample tax returns. Especially with my Wisconsin state return. There was some confusion with "Itemized Deduction Credit" concerning medical expenses.

Even though I can no longer itemize, I used the H&R Block software to do my taxes last year and this year. It remembered all of the data I supplied last year, so I did not have to re-enter the same info this year. It imports the data from my stock broker, and it prompts me for all of the info from my K-1 form. It takes the drudgery out of doing your taxes, especially the calculations and determining which forms to use. It prompted me to review one of my forms which had errors, and I was able to see the errors easily and correct them. Highly recommend.

I've been a Turbo Tax user till this year. Decided to save a few bucks and give H&R Block a try. Biggest mistake I ever made. Calling this software terrible is an under statement. Turbo Tax I'm coming back to ya!!
