Inaccurate state forms

Federal forms are fine but would not recommend using any H&R Block software for state returns. Consistently found forms were not being filled in correctly or calculating specific lines correctly. Ended up having to go get the forms directly from the state and fill out manually then cross referenced with TurboTax which was filling out correctly. Thought I’d give H&R Block a chance this year but won’t make that mistake again.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund

I've been using H&R Block Tax Software for several years. It works for me. In general, my taxes are simple and I could do them by hand. Using the software speeds the process, makes sure I don't miss anything, allows easy electronic submission and provides an easy to find record of my taxes.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast

Its an additional $20 charge to file which wasnt abundantly clear with the purchase. Colorado is free to file, and the form is not that complicated.
