The program is easy to use. The explanation for each item is adequate but if you need more tax help there is an extra fee. I could not efile my Pennsylvania tax return.

Super easy and intuitive. I only had one issue when I wrongly checked a box for child credit on the federal return when I wasn’t eligible. That resulted in a notice during the state return that I had a little over $1,000 in “other non-taxable income.” But the software didn’t tell me why. So I had to dig into the return to find out why- and then uncheck the child care box. Would have been better if I checked the box and I got a notice immediately that I wasn’t eligible. Or if the box was grated out and wouldn’t allow me to check it.in the first place.
I also had a great interaction with customer service due a proble with the download. Super helpful and thorough.

I had trouble entering a Qualified Charitable Distribution. The right questions weren’t coming up. I found I had to uncheck then recheck the boxes on the 1099-R for the IRA, then the right questions came up. If you enter something incorrectly, then you have to do that again, or you can’t see what you entered.

Easy to navigate and use!

I bought the premium edition and was quite happy to find it was very easy to use! I forgot to activate the program, the chat button took me to a representative who texted me a temporary code which activated my program! All the forms I needed were used as needed! Only the healthcare.gov from wasn't available. All else was a good experience!
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
Cons: Time consuming
