I've been using H&R software for about 20 years. Every recent year, I seem to have had some difficulty. This year, it seemed that I wasn't being credited with the new OT pay deduction I was entitled to. I finally got that taken care of. I tried to use the built-in AI bot for some difficulty I had. It didn't work very well. It gave very vanilla and boilerplate answers. Then, when I submitted my e-file the first time, the IRS rejected for authentication and security reasons. Not H&R's fault, but they zap my account EVERY time I have to resubmit. A better company would not charge until the IRS accepts the return. A couple of years ago, I was caught up in the debacle of their servers being overloaded, so I almost didn't file my taxes on time. Of course, they also charged me EVERY time it failed. Next year, I'll be looking for a new solution.

It's great for all basic parts of an income tax return. This year I had a couple of unusual situations and had to do my own research, because the program didn't cover them. Otherwise, it's very convenient and helpful.

I've been using H&R Block tax software for the last decade or so. It has taken so much work and angst out of the tax reporting and filing process. I particularly like the audit feature, which has caught a number of small problems in my returns over the years.

Not worth the cost. Anything outside the basic filing and reporting of income, interest, and basic dividends, the software falls apart. Than you have to print all the tax forms and manually check computations and correct line items.

Primitive, complicated and hard to use. Why can’t we just scan in all of our tax documents and have AI complete the return for us. Really expensive because it doesn’t even include the state return. Good app, but could be so much better. H&R Block needs to be improved.
