Nothing worked right: no matter what question I asked the ai said it couldn’t answer. Updates wouldn’t work. I had to download and update manually. Then at the end the state return would not begin no matter what I tried. Even though I paid for the program including the state return. I ended up having to complete my state manually.

I've been using h&r block tax software for years. Disappointed this year in that it did not transfer my profit from my business over to the self-employment tax schedule causing notification from the IRS. I think this was a glitch in the software. Not sure if I'll use h&r block next year because of this

Had some problems with the IRA contribution section. I had originally input a contribution for myself to see how much the effect on our taxes would be. When I went back and clicked ‘no’, that I wouldn’t be making a contribution, it kept the recorded contribution until I deleted it manually. That shouldn’t work like that. If I click ‘no’ it should automatically zero out the contribution.
I wanted to print the first few pages of my 1040 to compare to the prior year but no matter what I did the column on the far right with the all important amounts was cut off.
There were also some minor navigation issues.

I previously used TurboTax but, this year’s product wouldn’t install on Windows 10. I only use my laptop for doing taxes, so I didn’t want to have to upgrade it. H&R Block software installed on my laptop and even pulled in data from last year’s TurboTax return.
The product is fast and easy to use. I like the interface and yhe ability to check the status of your return in the software.
