I have used this software since the very first year. It was introduced and have been very pleased over the years this year, however was a major disappointment.. Not only was the addition of AI all but useless as the software missed a new law in New York State with regards to charitable contributions. I am now being audited. Had the software alerted me about the new law I would have filed differently.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This product works well enough. I have been using it for years. It is still a bit difficult to follow at times. The Virginia State filing is not quite right as it provides an option to pay the amount owed to the state via ETF but it will not honor the option. I had to mail a check.
Pros: Fast

I’ve been using the H&R program for probably 20 years. I do appreciate the fact that it’s fairly consistent from one year to the next as to the format. I tried another program one year from well-known tax company and was totally dissatisfied with this approach and rather disjointed framework. The only reason I do not give it five stars and honestly, the only real negative of the program is when you look at your tax summary, Particularly after there’s been a change the amount owed or amount owed or due. It only gives a very simple explanation in terms of taxes, paid, and taxes
