I purchased H&R Block 2025 Deluxe + State Software to install on my W10 computer. Taxes are done. The question I can get NO HELP for is: I want to duplicate my federal tax return and give the copy another name. Then I would have TWO identical returns within the program--the original I e-filed and do NOT want to edit and another identical one. My intent is modify to numbers in the copied one to see how my taxes change.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Endless questions that make no sense. Poorly worded questions that are not even considering proper English. One simple error identified at the end caused me to go thru the entire bad long torturous string of questions again many that do not apply to me. Horrible SW design. Many pages with no help or "help" that is useless. Waste of time. Extremely poor configuration for navigating thru the SW.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

I have used the Deluxe version for several years. This is the first year that I am dissatisfied with one feature of the product. It incorrectly calculated an estimated tax penalty on line 38 of Form 1040-SR. Since retirement, I have not owed taxes. In 2025 I sold my primary home, which resulted in taxes payable. The IRS instructions indicate that if one owed NO taxes in 2024, no penalty is due in 2025. The IRS has already informed me that I am due a refund for the estimated penalty.
Overall, I still believe in the product and I plan to use it next year. Thank you.
